Artemis Alliance Rescues Business Rules Training from the Ivory Tower

Offers Seminars with Immediate Practical Application

ST. PAUL, MN--May 1, 2006--Artemis Alliance, Inc., a full-service information technology firm specializing in Business Rules Management, announced that last summer it successfully launched a series of business rules training seminars designed to provide people throughout an organization with the in-depth knowledge and practical skills necessary for the implementation of a successful business rules initiative. A key focus is to make sure that all stakeholders from the upper levels of management to the most junior developer have a common understanding of the principals, terms, objectives, and methodology that will guide their initiative.

According to Wyatt Wood, Director of Sales for Artemis Alliance, the impetus for the development of the seminar series came from the experience and vision of Artemis Alliance business rules architects and analysts who, working side-by-side with clients in the trenches, saw a great need for practical, integrated, business rules training based on real world business and IT needs. “So much of the training out there is academic, high-level and methodology focused,” said Michael Krouze, Artemis Alliance’s Chief Technology Officer. “I could see that everyone involved would benefit from hands-on training that integrated needs, tasks, and knowledge across the entire spectrum of the business rules project with special focus on common knowledge and objectives.”

Artemis Alliance drew on its experience in business rules and its long time focus on mentoring and training to create the following four seminars:

  • Introduction to Business Rules – This half-day introductory course uses real-world examples to provide attendees with a general understanding of business rules. The course will move an attendee from “What is a business rule?” to “I can describe how my organization can receive value from a business rule set."

  • Adopting Business Rules into Your Organization – This two-day course provides attendees with a deeper understanding of the activities necessary to implement a business rules initiative from conception through deployment. In addition, attendees will see how such an initiative can change and benefit an organization’s short and long term strategies.

  • Successful Business Rules Implementation for Business Analysts – This three-day course focuses on providing the expertise to propose and manage the key activities, procedures, and processes necessary to maximize the success of a business rules initiative from a business analysis perspective.

  • Successful Business Rules Implementation for Information Technology Professionals – This three-day course provides the knowledge concerning the steps, procedures, and technology considerations necessary to maximize the success of a business rules initiative from a technical and implementation perspective.

Artemis Alliance can provide educational support services with either a pre-defined curriculum or custom-defined coursework that addresses specific client needs or skill gaps.
