Areas of Expertise
Artemis Alliance offers a complete
Business Rules Management practice including:
Business Analysis and Business
Process Engineering: Artemis understands that sound
requirements definition, analysis, and business process
engineering are at the heart of successful projects. We
help organizations build successful solutions by first
understanding their real needs; from business goals and
strategies to detailed business operations to existing
system and integration issues. We use this knowledge to
articulate a project vision coupled with a strategy for
its realization. Artemis-led projects succeed because we
know the outcomes from the outset.
Enterprise Architecture:
Artemis assists the client with a large IT
infrastructure to develop and document its enterprise
architectures (EA), creates functional EA practices
within the organization, and provides expert evaluation
of the organization’s existing EA practices and
directions. Artemis applies our broad experience with
service-oriented approaches, messaging, business process
management, workflow, and other enterprise technologies
to the technical and business issues that should drive
enterprise architecture. We understand that EA must
serve real business needs and can never be successful as
architecture for architecture’s sake. Artemis creates an
enterprise architecture that quickly becomes an
effective foundation for IT productivity and efficiency
for the client.
Application Architecture, Design,
and Development: Artemis provides application
architecture, application design, and software
development leadership to projects based on J2EE,
including WebLogic, WebSphere, and JBoss. Our unique
skills in user interface design allow us to construct
rich user interfaces in complex distributed
environments, using the java/swing, and Microsoft .NET
platforms. We also specialize in projects based on TIBCO,
Vitria, Borland products, and the leading Business Rules
Management and Inference Engines.
Software Engineering Process:
Artemis believes that a well-understood software
engineering methodology or process that is embraced by
the practicing organization is one key to software
project success. We also know that no one process fits
every situation. We approach process improvement from
the standpoint of fundamentals: making sure that a
process is requirements-driven, accountable, testable,
and efficient, regardless of whether it’s based on agile
methodology, RUP, XP, waterfall, or anything in between.
In all cases, our goal is to improve and extend our
client’s existing software engineering skills, rather
than “sell” a particular canned approach.
While our primary focus is on
Business Rules Management, Artemis Alliance is equally
adept at applying our expertise to the widest possible
array of IT projects.
